SIB Webinar: UNHCR in Geneva On the 8th of September,

Are you a new student in Amsterdam? Or are you already studying here but would you like to explore the student life a little more? And are you interested in international relations? Then SIB-Amsterdam | DUNSA might be something for you! During the first few weeks you can get to know us and our committees and societies by visiting our digital events.

The Committee of External Activities (CEA) will organise the first webinar of the new academic year! We are happy to welcome both SIB members and prospective members! We are collaborating together with the UNHCR in Geneva to get some better insight into their international work. UNHCR is the United Nations Refugee Agency with the mission to protect the rights and lives of refugees and forcibly displaced communities or stateless people. The organization provides assistance in order to ensure safe asylum processes and to enable asylum seekers to build a better future. Within the webinar, an overview of UNHCR’s mandate and work will be provided with a special focus on who they care for, what they do, and how they work.

At the end of the presentation, a Q&A will take place. It promises to be an interesting session, so don't miss out and tune in via zoom! Sign up via the google form:
