What is MUNDUNSA?
Established in 2018, Model United Nations Dutch United Nations Student Association (MUNDUNSA) is a committee that trains students the theory and practice of public speaking, debating and leadership.
MUNDUNSA is a group of ambitious and inspired students who are eager to step outside of their comfort zone. Every week, MUNDUNSA holds workshops and trainings on how to speak with impact and convince others, settle a difference of opinion and most importantly, win a MUN debate.
About Model United Nations (MUN)
Several times per year, the delegation goes to student conferences that simulate a diplomatic event as close to real-life as possible. They represent a country in various international political issues and compete against the best.
The delegation aims to stand out from the crowd not by being the biggest talker or the know-it-all, but by showing refined, yet extraordinary diplomacy skills. The conferences are optional, but they are one of the most memorable moments in your student life!
MUNDUNSA trains every year for multiple MUNs, including Harvard National MUN in Boston, where are two of our most successful member, Carl Sjölin Fagerlind & Kevin Sloots (previous chair) won the award “Best Delegate”.
Join MUNDUNSA and you too could go to Boston or New York!
Previous conferences attended by MUNDUNSA include:
The Olympics of Model UN, WorldMUN in Madrid (18 – 22 March 2019). (The committee was also all set to go to the WorldMUN in Tokyo in March 2020, but had to cancel due to the pandemic).
We participated in HamMUN 2018-2023.
And in UvA MUN in Amsterdam and EuroMUN in beautiful Maastricht!
Moreover, MUNDUNSA provides and engages in trainings leading up to the MUN’s every week. These training sessions revolve around learning the rules of procedure, MUN etiquette, public speaking, negotiation and rhetoric.
