With the Russian invasion on Ukraine, war has returned to Europe. The ongoing conflict has highlighted significant security deficits in European countries and therefore this event will be about how Europe can adapt to the new threats in the modern era.
To discuss this topic, Dutch Lieutenant-General Martin Wijnen will talk about international security changes in response to the war in Ukraine. He is currently the commander of the Land Forces of the Royal Netherlands Army, where his most important task lies in ensuring that Army units are mission-ready. He is responsible for preparing, leading and concluding military operations.
The event will be interactive with plenty of opportunities for participants to ask questions about the topic, which he will answer from his perspective as Chief of the Army.
