UNHCR is the United Nations Refugee Agency with the mission to protect the rights and lives of refugees and forcibly displaced communities or stateless people. The organisation provides assistance in order to ensure save asylum processes and to enable asylum seekers to build a better future. Within the current times of large scale displacements caused by the war in Syria, climate change, or political and religious persecution, the role of UNHCR seems ever more important.
Against this background, SIB Amsterdam hosts a webinar with UNHCR on Friday, the 24th or April, 2020 at 15:30. Within the webinar, an overview of UNHCR’s mandate and work will be provided with a special focus on who they care for, what they do, and how they work. At the end of the session, a Q&A will take place.
The event is open to all Sib members in the Netherlands. Spots are limited, so sign up fast. The sign up can be found under tickets.
