SIB has organized an event together with IDFA on the 14th of November, Monday at 18:00, in Rialto VU. This event will consist of presenting a documentary, followed by a short discussion with a speaker who has been involved in the making of the film. There will also be opportunities to ask the speaker questions at the end. The documentary that we will watch will be "A Symphony for a Common Man", by Jose Joffily J B Filho. It is about a Brazilian ambassador, Bustani, who was the first director of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, and who tried to avoid the destruction of Iraq. However, he was forced out under pressure from the US. Today, similar situations are repeating themselves in the multilateral organization. A ticket for the event costs 5 euros, you can find more information in the sign up form.
