Chair: Amrita Singh (Commissioner for External Affairs)

Hello SIB! I am Amrita, your new Commissioner of External Affairs, thrid-year Communication Science student at UvA! I’m half Indian half Hungarian, born and raised in Budapest. I love doing sports, this is something that I make time for on a weekly basis, I like to read, watch movies or paint in my free time! I am a very social and an open minded person, which is something I would like to encourage in SIB!

As for my journey at SIB-Amsterdam, was a committee member of CIA, and DDC last year!

As I am the new External, I will be taking over DDC, in which I would like to make sure all members feel welcome and are able to share their ideas!

I hope more people will be joining the committee, and help our team with future events!

Feel free to reach out to me any time, if you have any concerns, recommendations, critiques or just want to chat!:)

Come meet me and the board at the borrels!

Diplomacy and Development Committee

The DDC is a fairly new committee but it will have a focus on the three key areas that are entirely for the benefit of our members.

The first will be service, so that we can support our local communities and even those around the world so we can comfortably say that we are doing our part for those around us.

Second, it is paramount that any individual should upskill in both hard and soft skills. As such, the DDC will aim to constantly offer workshops that will help SIB members level up their own capabilities.

Finally, Jobs, both to keep our members going through university and also Internships to provide that opportunity for specific exposure to an industry that interests them.

The DDC is in charge of organizing the yearly Geneva trip, the Diplomat Drinks, as well as this year’s networking gala.

Are you interested in joining this committee, then send an email to internal@sibamsterdam.nl
