Hey everyone I’m Manon, the new chair of Cinemates :)
I’m passionate about cinema and everything related to the film industry. I love volunteering at film festivals, and in 2024 I was even granted a pass to the Cannes Film Festival, which was an unforgettable experience. My love for film also inspired me to study Media and Culture, a field that perfectly combines all my interests.
With Cinemates, my goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive community of film lovers.
I want this to be a space where everyone feels comfortable sharing their opinions, whether you’re a hardcore cinephile or someone who just enjoys casual movie nights.

We organise one to two screenings each month, followed by a fun gathering where we can all debrief, debate, and share our thoughts on the film together!
Depending on the vibe, we either head to the cinema or watch a movie at someone’s place.
If you’re curious about films, eager to chat about your favourite directors / genres, or simply looking for a chill and friendly atmosphere to enjoy great movies, Cinemates is the place for you.
